GLASSINE PAPER
Glassine is a smooth super calendered glossy paper that is resistant to air, water, and grease. This makes it an ideal material to be used in pharmaceutical packaging . It is predominantly used as a base that can be coated using complex polymers. This is an extremely niche form of paper manufactured by only one paper mill in India.
Glassine is one of the primary components used for making sachets for ORS and strip packing of pharmaceutical tablets. Some medicines include household names such as Saridon, Decdan, and Practin. The paper could be in either form, as pe coated glassine paper or with a coating of VMCH/HSL . Poly coated glassine paper is FSC and FDA approved..
We provide glassine in a variety of forms. This includes pure glassine paper, paper coated with polymers, and paper coated with VMCH. This depends from customer to customer owing to its number of uses and the level of protection it provides. These can be available in both printed as well as plain reels and pass through stringent quality control measures making poly coated glassine paper one of the most trusted forms of primary packaging.
CUPSTOCK PAPER
Cupstock paper is a food-safe paper, suitable for both hot and cold food as well as beverages. Each base paper consists of 2 or 3 layers, known as ply. This does not allow liquids from leaking, penetrating through and getting absorbed into the inner layers of the paper ply. With this attribute, it becomes the ideal choice for paper cups, noodles and soup bowls as they are also food safe, sustainable and renewable. It is also used to manufacture food wrappers, grocery bags, tray mats, meal boxes and fast-food containers as it is highly hygienic and provides low heat transfer and is therefore comfortable for holding beverages for a longer time.
High-quality cupstock paper is laminated with Polyethylene (PE), Polylactic acid or Water Base solutions and is supported by one of its mechanical properties: Scott Bond. Polycoated Cupstock Paper (bleached/unbleached) provides a tailor-made solution for disposable hot & cold drinking cups, dry food trays, and dairy products. For food service purposes, the major coating option is PE which could be coated on one or both sides of the board. It can be coated with a wide variety of barrier substances to provide effective protection against undesirable effects caused by light, oxygen, humidity, grease, or heat. PE coating makes it liquid-tight, it also provides humidity protection and good sealing properties. The poly-coated side offers high moisture and water resistance and also provides strength to the paper.
CHROMO PAPER
Poly coated chromo paper is a highly water-resistant and durable product that comes with its own sets of benefits. This paper is coated with an inorganic compound which is essentially a non-living composite. This coating adds the qualities of ink absorbency, façade gloss, and high levels of smoothness. Polymers are coated on this paper by the process of extrusion coating lamination which also gives the paper its additional strength, texture, and durability.
Poly coated chromo paper can be used to make tobacco sachets, magazine paper, labels, and even in the packaging of several brands of green tea. This form of paper is one of the best when it comes to printing which is another reason why it is used in the tobacco gutka and pan masala industry. The extended shelf life provided by this paper turns out to be another reason why it is used in the packaging of the aforementioned products.
POLYETHYLENE COATED STIFFENER PAPER
The world is changing, and so is the packaging industry. Packaging bags made from Paper, Polymer and Aluminium Foil, also called 3 Ply Paper, are taking over the packaging industry because of their multiple benefits. They are considered one of the most sustainable packaging materials available. Nothing beats them when it comes to keeping the freshness inside. Their property of being an excellent thermal conductor allows it to keep the packed product safe for an extended period of time. They are an excellent alternative to paper-based packaging due to their durability, recyclability, and lightweight properties. As they are leak-proof it does not allow liquids to spill out. It also prevents water, moisture, air and light from entering the product and also protects the contents of the bags from extreme temperatures.
3 Ply Paper is popular as a packaging material because of its purity, neutrality and grease resistance. It is utilised for the packaging of salt, pepper, tea and meat products. Owing to their excellent texture and strength they can be used to design different packaging styles. It has also played a major role in revolutionising the tea industry by helping to preserve the tea as exposure to air, sunlight, and moisture can quickly affect both the quality and freshness of the tea.
MAPLITHO PAPER
The nature of the paper used for printing plays an important role in deters quality of the final printed product. FOLDING BOX BOARD PAPER
FBB also known as Folding box board, is made up of multiple layers of mechanical pulp in between layers of chemical pulp, is a low-density material but with high stiffness. Being a low-density material with high stiffness, which will not bend easily, it is widely used in the packaging of health and beauty products, frozen foods, confectionaries, pharma drugs and the cigarette industry. It consists of a printable bleached surface, an unbleached yellowish centre layer and a bleached inner layer making it an excellent choice for scoring and bending without tearing or splitting and being inexpensive are very cost-effective. Since a smoother surface is achieved it offers advantages over print quality and the processes of foil stamping and cold foil. The air between the fibres gives it a high thickness making it an ideal printing surface. The surface being smooth reflects more light giving the effect of more brightness. Everywhere you look, in the pharma, confectionary, food and other industries, you’ll find high-quality FBB manufactured by K. P. Packaging, a leader in the field having a wide client base globally.
